Ghost Tab is a Safari extension that suspends inactive tabs to free up memory and lets you restore them with one click.

Ghost Tab does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the extension does happens locally on your Mac. There are no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no network requests of any kind.

To suspend and restore tabs, Ghost Tab works with the following information, only on your device:

• Tab URL and title — used to show the page on the suspended screen and to bring the original page back when you restore it.
• Tab favicon — displayed on the suspended page.
• Your preference for the suspended page theme (System, Light, or Dark) — saved locally using the browser's extension storage.

This information never leaves your Mac. It is not sent anywhere, not logged, and not accessible to us or any third party.

• It does not collect personal information.
• It does not use analytics or tracking tools.
• It does not make any network or server requests.
• It does not read, store, or transmit the content of the web pages you visit.
• It does not share data with third parties.

Ghost Tab requests the minimum permissions needed to function:

• Tabs — to read a tab's URL/title/favicon so it can be suspended and restored.
• Storage — to remember your theme preference locally.
• Context menu — to add the "Suspend this tab" right-click option.

Ghost Tab does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
